Leader at Peterborough City Council, First elected as a Councillor in 2006.

Formerly the lead member for Peterborough on Integrated Health & Adult Social Care (ASC) along with Public Health; And a former member of Peterborough’s Health and Wellbeing Board and an active member of the Eastern regional’s team of ASC lead members and a regular attendee at ADASS.

A long-standing board member at the Cresset Peterborough a local charity operated by the YMCA at the Trinity Group for Cambridgeshire & Suffolk with housing and wider related social interests. 

Currently a member of the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority and also a member of the Local Government Association’s (LGA) Health & Well Being Board.

Cllr. Fitzgerald has a broad and diverse range of experience across the local government and health sectors.

Paul Bristow ​

Paul Bristow has been the MP for Peterborough since 2019.

In Parliament he became a member of the Health and Social Care Select Committee, which he served from 2020 – 2022. He now serves as the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

As Member of Parliament he has been working with local organisations to improve access to health care services, and ensuring his constituents have the care they both need and deserve.

Before his election, Paul established his own business, PB Consulting, which specialised in health care. Paul has worked with many organisations and groups to develop innovative and unique solutions to the health care challenges our country faces.

The Honourable Vijay Daryanani MP​ ​

Born in India in 1970, the Hon. Vijay Daryanani MP moved to Gibraltar aged 1 where he was raised and educated.

Minister Daryanani joined the Executive Committee of the Liberal Party in 1995 and was the 1st person of Indian descent in Gibraltar to stand for election in 2000. He narrowly missed out on a seat in the Gibraltar Parliament by 60 Votes. He has since represented the Liberal Party in conferences abroad, especially through Liberal International.

With a professional background in business, Minister Daryanani has run his family business successfully for over twenty-five years and is a founding member of the Gibraltar Federation of Small Business in 1995.

The Minister has also since been the Chairman for the Business Licensing Authority from 2013 to 2019, a member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal from 2017-2019 and a member of the Nursing Board from 2018 to 2019.

In 2019, Vijay Daryanani became the first Person of Indian descent in Gibraltar to be elected as a Member of Parliament and as Minister for His Majesty’s Government of Gibraltar.

Today Minister Daryanani has responsibility for Business, Tourism, Commercial Aviation and The Port.

One of his main briefs is to market Gibraltar as a premier tourist destination. The promotion of Gibraltar International Airport as the gateway to the area is also a priority for Minister Daryanani.

In 1988, Marin Raykov joined Bulgarian Diplomatic Service.
Ambassador Raykov was a political and social issues expert at the Human Rights and Humanitarian and Social Cooperation Department, MFA.
In 1997 – 1998, he was appointed as Bulgaria’s Deputy Permanent Representative at the Council of Europe.
In 1998 – 2001, Ambassador Raykov served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Bulgarian Government
In 2001 – 2005, he was accredited as Bulgaria’s Ambassador France and Monaco (resident in Paris), as Permanent Representative to UNESCO, as well as the Bulgarian President’s personal representative in the International Organization of La Francophonie.
On 12 March 2013 the Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev appointed Marin Raykov as interim Prime Minister of Bulgarian Goverment
From 19 August 2013 to 31 October 2018 Marin Raykov was Ambassador of Bulgaria to Rome, non-resident Ambassador of Bulgaria to San Marino as of 13 March 2014 and non-resident Ambassador of Bulgaria to Malta as of 5 March 2015.
Member of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, the Executive Committee of the Bulgarian Association of International Law, the International Law Association and the Executive Board of the Bulgarian Foreign Policy Association.
Grand Officer of the “Order of the Phoenix” of Greece.
Grand Officier of the “Order of National Merit” of France.
Commander of the Ordre National de la Légiond’Honneur of France.
Companion K.O.M. of the National Order of Merit of Malta.
